My 855R tire choices... Any comments? 850 1997

I have stock 16" Persus (?) rims that came with my 97 R wagon. I'm the second owner and I guess they chose these over the 17" rims. Anyway, my tire size is 205/50x16 and I'm looking into getting the Kuhmo 712. Anyone knows about these tires? My second choice was Yokohama A520 in the same size. This is my everyday car so ride and noise is a priority.

I was also asked if I want to change series to 55s. They mentioned that the ride would be a little better (not to mention better for potholes, which is why I need tires now) but handling will not be as crisp. Do you think there would be a sacrific in handling going 50 to 55 series?

Finally, what is the largest 16" tire that will fit without any rubbing?
