Chiming Won't Stop 850 1997

My Australian delivery 850 won't stop chiming at me.
Normally the warning chime ceases as soon as you buckle up or after about 15 seconds if you don't.
Does this chime occur in conjunction with other warning lights, or just for seatbelts? (The handbrake is off & no warning lights illuminated)
Can the chime be disconnected until the problem is found?
