Soft Vacuum Lines 850 1994

Overall I'm quite happy with the performance of my 850, although, when shifting from 3rd to 4th (yes, while under hard acceleration), I get a bit of lag between shifts... I don't have any error codes but did notice after a pretty thorough inspection, that I have some pretty soft vacuum lines... no noticeable cracks...

Question...

Is it possible, with soft vacuum lines and under hard acceleration, to collapse and temporarily "starve" the system of vacuum... hence a delay in shifting?

It seems plausible, and I am going to replace the vacuum lines around the engine anyway.

Any ideas/thoughts/etc?

Thanks,

Shawn
