WELL MY 2001 XC WAS READY FOR ITS 7500 MILE CHECK UP AND THE NICE CAR DEALER DID ME A DIRTY FAVOR, HE GAVE ME A 2002 XC AS A LOANER AND MY DAY WENT DOWNHILL
FROM THERE......IF ANYONE IS CONSIDERING A NEW XC AND THINK SAVING 2 GRAND ON A 2001 IS A GREAT DEAL THEN DONT READ ANY FURTHER.
ASTONISHING ACCELERATION TO BE HAD FOLKS IN THE RETUNED 2002 XC...FOR STARTERS YOU CAN KISS THE TURBO LAG GOODBYE...I WORK AND LIVE IN CHICAGO AND OFF THE LINE ACCELERATION WAS BLAZING AND NO READ MY LIPS NO SUCKING FOR AIR TURBO LAG NONE GONE GOODBYE.
PEDAL PRESSURE WAS VERY LIGHT COMPARED TO THE 2001 SO QUICK STARTS MEANT HAVING TO REALLY HOLD ON TO THE STEERING WHEEL..WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE ONLY DOWNFALL WITH THE 2002 AND THAT WAS THE VERY LIGHT FEEL OF THE STEERING WHEEL, I PREFER
THE HEAVIER ROAD FEEL OF THE 2001...WHICH I THINK HAS A HEAVIER ALL AROUND MORE SOLID FEEL.
THEN I GOT BACK INTO MY CAR AT 6:00 AND THOUGHT MAYBE JUST MAYBE I WAS JUST IMAGINING ALL THIS QUICKNESS OF THE 2002 BUT THE FIRST TIME I STEPPED ON IT I AGAIN KNEW THE MEANING OF THE WORD TURBO LAG.
SO ANYONE KNOW ANYWAY TO RETUNE THE 2001 TO REDUCE THE TURBO LAG SYNDROME?
