Please explain why chager 6amp said low 2amp show full ?? 850

I put my car on a battery charger because it was low on water...

Now on the charger there are 2 position 1 said 6amp 2 said 2amp

now if I put the switch to 6amp the meter show battery half way full something like 4.5 not completely full charger the needel seat in the center..


if I put the switch to 2amp position the meter show the battery almost full needel claim up to 7 why ?????


what is the best way to charger the battery ?? set at 6amp or 2amp ???

many said set at to 2amp is better ??
