Can the 2001 XC drive through loose sand? V70-XC70 2001

I've seen 4x4 SUV's in my area driving across the beach (with oversand
permits) to get to their favorite fishing spots. Would the AWD, ground
clearance, and stock Pirelli Scorpion tires on the 2001 XC enable it to do
the same? Thanks in advance!
