ABS light on after rear pad replacement 850

Subject kinda says it all. Changed rear pads and on the test drive to work the light came on after a while. Brakes work OK, no shudder or sound. They are not hot to the touch. What caused this? Pushing back the calipers? Too much brake fluid?
