Head Unit Upgrade from SC-810 850 1993

I purchased a '93 850 last week and was wondering if anyone has experience with installing a newer Volvo head unit (something that operates the CD changer as well as has an in-dash cd player). I called my local dealer and they told me that the SC-815 would fit, but I'm not interested in paying >$500 CDN. I plan on checking out wreckers and on ebay. Does anyone know if a SC-816 will work with my stock wiring harness? Are there any common problems with these head units that I should be on the lookout for?
