Ok, the warranty is coming to an end on my 2000 S70 AWD. The dealer suggested the extended warranty for about $2000 with no deductible. I was told that this isn't a 3rd party "extended warranty", but a comprehensive something-or-other offered by Volvo and that it covers "95%" of the parts up to 100k miles.
Generally, I avoid such things like the plague. Why would they offer it if they didn't expect to come out ahead? Overall, my car has been very reliable.
Can anyone give me specifics about this extended coverage? Any reasons to consider it? Like many things in life, I guess it's a gamble, but one should always try to maximize their odds.
Thanks.
