A/C keeps running after car is off! V70-XC70 2001

I have a '01 V70 T5. Twice, when shutting off the car, the A/C kept on running. Yes, I'm smart enough to know the difference between A/C and the engine fan. The air continues blowing after the car is off. It shut off several minutes later.

So, could this be a built-in feature to "empty" the A/C to avoid mildew build-up or something similar?

I'll be taking the car to the stealer for this and two other issues (one is the sunroof mysteriously opening by itself upon car start).

Any advice/stories/empathy would be appreciated.
