6X9 on rear S40-V40

hello V40 owners,

i had a question about the rear speaker, on the v40s there is a place on the rear where ther eis apace for two 6 inch speakers go in side by side, i noticed mine has only one instelled, so i was wondering if i can pull it out and put in a 6X9 instead?
has anybody done that? any recommendations?
