Greetings,
My 1995 850 T5 wagon just passed it's latest MOT, but there are a couple of things that need doing urgently.
1) The nearside ABS wheel sensor needs replacing (ABS warning light keeps coming on).
2) The reversing lamp switch needs replacing (reversing lights only come on if gear lever is held as far as possible in reversing position gate).
Now my dealer is quoting .7 and .5 hours respectively on the estimate so I assume the work is not too difficult. However my Haynes manual rotted in the garage over the winter due to a water leak so I can't check that any more (will try to buy a new one this week).
What is involved in replacing the above parts, and where in the Berkshire or Wiltshire (UK) areas can I get the parts (I don't want to pay main dealer prices). Is "Swedish & German" in Reading (on the Portman Road Estate I think) any good ?
Regards.
Nick Pitfield.
