rear end not sitting level?? 850 1997

I recently noticed that my 97' GLT is not sitting level when looking at it from the rear.I took a rough measurement and found that the left side of the car is almost an inch lower than the right.Could this be just a worn spring or would it be the shock ?.I read somewhere about 850's having self leveling shocks if this is true then Im guesing the problem is in the shocks.Could someone please shed some light on this subject.. THANKS.
