850 17' wheel options... suspension concerns 850 1997

Okay folks.... really need some simple advice (I hope). I'm getting ready to make that plunge into the aftermarket wheel / tire application for my 97 850 GLT.

I'd really like to go 17", but concerned over possible rubbing...yada, yada, yada. The car came with stock 15" wheels and Potenza (Bridgestones). I've contacted IPD on the sway bar(s) issue only to be told "NOPE, don't have em. Even though I found a part # of WS6K5032 (25mmfront, 22mm rear) from Volvo tuning.com from IPD for the 850 and 70 series. Are they the same animal?

I'd really like some input from you guys that have done something like this. You know....what you bought and been comfortable with.

Also,do I need to look at the IPD sport spring configuration prior to the wheel/tire issue? Strut brace support?

Did this to my old 91 740 turbo and it was a blast, but my first real experience with a FWD car.... HELP?
