Optioanl Radio SC901 with 3 disc in dash CD & Dolby Pro-Logic Surround System C70 1998

I recently bought a 1998 C70 Coupe with the Premium Sound System. Although everything worked,the radio didn't indicate 3CH or Pro-Logic, which according to the manual it's supposed to do. The dealer suggested I exchange it for a refurbished one from him, which i did. They don't fix them they send them back to Volvo and keep refurbished ones on hand. Now, when i use the MODE button 3CH and Pro-Logic appears but when i put in a CD and try to access Pro-Logic NO SOUND comes out! If i go back to reglar 3CH it works. I called the dealer and they tell me that there is a separate Pro-logic decoder that may need to be replaced. Can anyone tell me if this is in fact the problem? This Pro-logic decoder is around $475! Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
