Volvo shop manuals S80

Does Volvo sell factory shop manuals? Anyone bought them? Any good? How much?

I am still shoping, my wife is still leaning toward Volvo.

I understand from a friend that owns several BMW's that you cannot buy BMW shop manuals. The newer ones are on CD ROM with an oddball operating system. I believe they are going to a Windows operating system that would allow you to get your hands on a manual, if you have a CD burner and a very good friend that works for BMW that would lend you a CD.
