I will be flushing the trans fluid this weekend and have seen several threads on the topic. Using synthetic would be best, but in my area (midwest US) it will cost around $100. I saw on a T5 site that an aftermarket transmission compamy reccommended mixing Mobil 1 with ATF 2:1 (or vice versa). This would be much more economical. Anyone ever hear of this or try it? Or...good quality regular ATF and flush again as soon as it starts to show signs of wear. Much cheaper. This is my first automatic transmission and I plan on keeping the car for many years. Thanks for any help/experiences.
