New to board, a few questions 850

I just registered here the other night and this is the 1st volvo board I have found. I am borrowing my bro's 96 850 turbo while he is overseas for awhile. And I had a few questions on it.

1. Is there any way to disconect the odomoter fairly easily. He doesn't really want me driving the car that much, although it's obviously a hoot to drive. I don't want to roll it back or do anything that shady, just unhook it for a few hundred miles if possible.
2. I am looking to replace one of the speakers. I can't seem to find any parts dealers online that carry it, and the dealer wants $100 for it. The part # is 9128077 if anyone has connections.
3. Does anyone know how many 850 Platinum Limited editions were made?
