Oil Question 850 1994

I did a 2,700 mile trip this week and my car ate 3 quarts of Mobil 1!!!

Brief Oil History:

Bought car Oil BLACK! Changed with conventional oil @ 193kmi

@ 194.5kmi Flushed engine and switched over to Mobil 1

Used 1 quart in between

@ 198kmi (Oil Dirty Already) Flushed engine again and BG additive before trip

Now I'm at 200kmi and the oil looks dirty again not to mention it used the 2 1/2 - 3 quarts. No leaks or drips either.

I hear it's normal to use some oil when you first switch over to synthetic while it cleans the old stuff out but come on. This can't be normal. Any advice or experiences?
