Arrgh! Need help, messed up headlight T-valve replacement 850 1996

To make a long story short, I messed up the replacement of that very hard to get to headlight washer T-valve. Those of you who have replaced it know how hard that puppy is to access. Anyway, I disconnected the hose that runs from the passenger side headlight washer and wound up pulling it completely out. Now I can't seem to route it back into the engine compartment in such a direction that there is enough slack to comfortably connect it to the new T-valve. There wasn't much slack to begin with, but now there is zero. Can anyone tell me the routing for that hose, and/or give me some advice on how best to do that? Basically, I need to route this stupid little piece of hose through the hole where the wiper arm is, and direct it where it needs to be.

I have a bad feeling I may need to remove the headlight and maybe the trim piece below it to figure it out, is that true?

I don't want to pay the dealer to fix a stupid thing like this, so any and all help is greatly appreciated.
