Brake Pads/Dust 850 1996

The brake dust on the front rims of my 854 n/a is about to drive me crazy. I used a product on an old BMW, I think it was called CleanWheels or something. It was a "disk" that went between the rim and hub assembly. Anyone use this?
It's getting to be time for pads, so I was also thinking about something other than OEM to reduce the dust. Any ideas or favorites?
