Running Castrol Syntec, new SS exhaust tip, and green cap! 850 1995

Mike Georges Volvo in Omaha is a fantastic dealership. I've never been treated so well before. I'm usually a paranoid, timid mess when I go to a dealer for any repairs.

My '95 854 Turbo has less then 39k miles and decided to ask the dealer to put synthetic oil in. They put Castrol Syntec 10W-30 and all I can say is WOW! I definately feel like I've gained some throttle response, and power. I was running convetional oil prior to the Syntec, and I now know what I've been missing. I'm guessing the Syntec reduces engine temps and helps the internal components move more efficiently, which means less friction and a more powerful, smoother running engine. I'm very happy with the Syntec!

Also I got my coolant problem fixed. I had no leaks per/say, but the grey cap was cracked, so they replaced it with a green/teal cap which looks much sturdier. Cost $20.

My exhaust tip was rusting so they put a brand new stainless steel tip ($40) from the S70 I believe, and it looks great! So much better the rectangular black tip that comes stock with the 850 turbos. Lastly they fixed the rubber ball in the rear suspension, only cost me like $30. I probably could of done it myself, but I figured it was in the shop might as well have them do it.

All in all I'm now even MORE satisfied the way my Volvo runs. With a few minor repairs and changing to synthetic, the car runs incredible smooth for a 7 year old car.
