Portable CD Player - Connect to 850 Stereo ? 850

I'd like to hook up my CD walkman to the stereo of my 850 wagon. I've tried one of those cassette adapters with limited success. It becomes very noisy once the stereo heats up.

I would think that there is a way to be able to hook the line out from the walkman into the stereo directly.

Anyone tried something like this ?
