Louspeaker (tweeter) removal. 400 1991

Will someone please tell me how to remove the tweeters from the A-pillars of my 1991/92 Volvo 440 GLT. I have tried gentle leverage, but I am frightened of damaging the plastic around the grill.

I would also like to know the route of the wireing soI could check if the fault lies there before removing the tweeter.
