93 850 high oil pressure ??? The end of the road ??? 850

Hello:
I don't know where to start...
my 1993 850 seems to have (no gauge) high oil pressure - when I take out the oil dipstick while the engine is running, the steam escapes from the filler tube under rather high pressure. The same happens if I open the oil cap. I have never tried to do this while the engine was running and am not sure if this is normal - I checked the flame trap and it seems to be okay, but oily...anybody knows where else to look or should I just leave it alone ? The car seems to run fine, but I also noticed traces of black smoke coming out of the tailpipe - barely visible, but it is there....
Is this the end ???
