Strange thing happened on the way home 850 1995

Last week while returning home from Chicago, had a very strange thing happen. I had the sunroof open and the radio on, no problem. All of a sudden the ABS light came on and all the lights went out, no headlights, taillights, no turn signals, no dash lights. Radio still worked, windows worked also. I drove on sa my wife looked at the owners manual, All the manual said was the there may be a problem with ABS, nothing about a total light failure. About halfway back it was getting cooler so I closed the sunroof. Guess what happened next the ABS light went out and the lights came on. This hasn't happened again. Has anyone else had anything similar happend to them. The car is a 1995 850 Turbo with close to 95,000 miles on it.
