Amsoil TS-118 Air Filter Need help Fast 850

Hi,

My Amsoil TS-118 came in at last. But I need help on two issues. Please answer quick. I've put the metal mesh facing upwards, please tell me that's the way it's supposed to be (crossed my fingers). And the filter doesn't fit the box as the paper filter used to. I had to push the box lid real hard to be able to compress the foam till the lid snaps can be closed. However, before I closed the lid the filter seemed (maybe two milimeters) short for the box. I don't know if the gap is closed after compressing the foam to be able to close the lid. Please answer fast I'm thinking of taking it out. Thanks in advance.
