Service Engine Light S40-V40 2001

I read a message about how to turn off the service engine light on a 2000 S40 which included turning the key to position 1, pushing the computer reset button until the service light starts to blink, then turning the key to position 2. This didn't seem to work on my 2001 though since the service light never started blinking. Does anyone know how to reset the 2001's? Thanks.
