Hi all,
I got a 1996 volvo 850r saloon. I recently installed a Blow off valve which has been placed between the intercooler and throttle body. the vacuum line from the Blow off valve goes to one inlet on the vacuum tree (under the throttle body cover) I recently discovered that the guy who installed it did not remove the standard recirculation valve. the standard valve is still bolted onto the side of the turbo and the vacuum line runnin from the stadard valve is still connected. However when i checked the vacuum tree there should normally only be 2 free outlets. One has been used for my new Blow off valve and the other has not bee used yet. However on the front top of the vacuum tree a screw has been used to close off that outlet. And from pictures i have seen something was connected here. I really need to know what was connected. Maybe the guy who installed messed everything up. The car is running fine though but i just want to know what was there. Anyone with a turbo please HELP!!! My car was also running a bit slow cos it had the check engine light on even before the blow off valve was installed. however i found out it was the o2 sensor which is failing and thus triggered the engine check light and thus detuned the car.
please help
thanks
jan.
