Glove Box S70 1998

My glove box likes to squeak every time I hit the smallest bump in the road. The noise comes from rubbing between the metal latch that slides inside the face of the glovebox and the latch. I have tried everything from grease, to wax, to a rubber covering on the latch, etc. However, nothing lasts more than a couple of days. Any thoughts?
