Just "inherited" a 99 S80 T6 which needs its 30,000 mile service done. This vehicle seems to be a fine car! I have always done my own service on many domestic cars I have owned. I have the following questions and would apprciate any information form any of you "in the know". I have the procedure to reset the service reminder light already, and have performed most required tasks.
1) SPARK PLUGS - Where are the spark plugs? They are not visible under the hood. What must be done to access and change them? Do they really wear out after only 30,000? Any less expensive brands other than Volvo work well?
2) CABIN AIR FILTER - Where is this filter located? How is it accessed? No information in the owner guide. Anyone know what these cost or if the system requires one or can it be run with this filter removed?
3) KEYLESS REMOTE FOB - I have an extra Keyless Remote that is not programmed. Can this be easily done with some in-car procedure (as with Ford & GM, etc) or can only a Dealer do it? Anyone know the process?
