Help! My car farts at 17 mph! 850

Hey all- So I bought a 1995 850 glt several months ago, and so far I absolutely love it. There seems to be one problem though. Every time I accelerate, it seems to make (and Im sorry this may sound weird) a noise like someone ripping a stiff fart while sitting on a wet wooden bench. Odd thing is that it only happens the first time I accelerate through 17mph each time I start the car. In other words, if I slow down for a stop sign, and then re- accelerate to 17 mph, the sound isn't there. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking trans? but why does it only happen that first time? ANy ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
