Knobby tire noise at 30+mph 850 1997

I went on a ~1000 mile trip this last weekend, and along with the car rolling over to 100,000 miles, I was also rewarded with a new noise.

When I reach 30mph, a noise comes from somewhere in the front that sounds similar to faint knobby tires. The sound isn't affected by engine rpms or if I'm in drive or neutral.

The tires are Yokahama AVSdb's with 15k miles. I have put in 36/41psi as per the volvo suggestion, and the sound has remained unchanged.

Any thoughts as to what could be wrong?
