My A/C loses power! 850 1993

When my '93 850 is traveling uphill or I need to accelerate quickly, the air from my a/c gets warmer. Also, when I'm on the freeway, a long trip let's say, my a/c will cycle on and off. Is this a compressor issue, a coolant issue, and electronic issue? Help!
