Transmission UP SHIFT ARROW comes on and then goes off??any ideas?? 850

Hello,

i have a 96 850 GLT Turbo w/ automatic transmission.

once yesterday and now once today when i am getting onto the toll road going up the ramp and punch it to get up to 70 and merge in, the yellow arrow on my dash came on, I moved the mode switch from sport to econo and back to sport and the light goes off.

the car runs good no moans or strange noises and no noticeable decrease in performance, is this my switch going bad? anyt insight?
