Joint National Meet

Solvang, CA - Sept. 6, 7 & 8

This year is particularly significant to Volvo and to VCOA. Volvo turns 75 and VCOA turns 20 in 2002. To celebrate these two birthdays VCOA and VSA are once again staging a joint national meet at Solvang, California. This promises to be a large and lively gathering. The Volvo clubs have seen a large increase in activity on the west coast and we expect this meet to equal or exceed the huge meet we had in Sacramento in 2000 in size and the number and quality of cars.

We will be working on several exciting activities for the meet to supplement the traditional concours judging, receptions, banquet and swap meet activities that everyone enjoys. We'll have some technical sessions that deal with new developments from Volvo, old car know how and suggestions, restoration and performance tips, etc. We are also working with the city of Solvang on a possible parade through town or special display and we'll have a poker run on Sunday morning through the Santa Barbara wine country with prizes. There will be spouse activities and special tours through this spectacular region of California.
