When I drive to Phoenix from California the A/C cuts out on hot days (100+ days). I have been told there is a sensor in the engine and when the oil pressure drops or the temp goes up too high the a/c compressor is cut out. I get no overtemp readings or idiot lights and when the temp drops the a/c works just fine. And the fuse is ok but has been changes just to be sure, it has never blown. Water and oil levels never change during this hot wheather operation and everything else is as always. I use Mobil 5w-30 as I have used since breakin and have 101k miles. The car is well maintained, with maintenance much more often than factory specs.

Does anyone have a solution or even know what I'm talking about.
