I own a 97 850 glt wagon. It has the light pressure turbo and 122,000 miles. My wife has used the car for her job and has really put the miles on it. Lately the car has been consuming alot of oil. When I got under the car the oil was primarily coming fron around the turbo. We love the car and it is still in perfect shape except for this small problem.
How hard is it to replace myself and what are the things that I need to be careful about? I have a friend who owns turbo specilaties in birmingham alabama and he said that he can rebuil it for me. I just do not want to pay to have it removed and installed if I can do it myself. Any pointers or advice would be great. thanks in advance.
