Strange Airco faillure 850 1995

I have a strange Airco (ECC) faillure. The evaporator is recently replaced. Before that I noticed the short cycle thing. Ik assumed it was caused by the evaporator. Now, after replacement of the evap (it was bad anyway), the short cycle thing is still going on. It almost allways cycles every 5 seconds, unless it is very hot outside (>30deg celsius or 86 fahrenheit), and the fan is at high speed. When te fan-speed is lowered the cycle thing starts again.

The airco blows cool air anyway.

The compressor is asking al lot of power, because when the compressor is switching in you can feel the powerdrop, even at 120 km an hour!

To me it seems that there is a restriction in the system, and because of that it is cooled too much, and the pressostat is switching off. Is this possible?
The airco shop does not know the answer. The pressostat is replaced, and the guy was mumbling about the orifice tube. Is it likely that the orifice tube is bad or restricted anyway?

Does anyone knows the clou, because a ride is very uncomftable due to the switching. There is been worked on the system for 2 months now, and I want to get it fixed. I have no confidence in the shop anyway.

Thanx,

Ed
