Car starts but then shuts off 850

Today, I installed a new die hard international group 47 battery and when I went to start my car it started up and then it shut off. Curious of what could cause this. It was working before the battery replacement. There is about 3 gallons of gas, so that shouldn't be a problem. I will be checking vacuum lines tomorrow for leaks. But would appreciate other suggestions or perhaps it's happen to someone.
