Fred, or anyone that might know:

My 98 AWD wagon makes a sound at 25-30 MPH that sounds like I have 12/16 BFG all terrain tires. I had the Michelin Energy MXV4s moved all over the car with no change in sound. At higher speeds like 65, then again at 80, the sound returns with more vigor. It actually sounds metallic at higher speeds, and more like a growl at lower speeds.

With the windows down, I cannot easily hear the sound, but it is significant with windows up.
