Fake Wood Dash Trim Kit - Good or Ugly?? S70 2000

I'm looking for some advice about if I should purchase and install a fake wood dash trim kit on my base S70. I'm looking at this eBay auction in particular:

I know the trim is not real wood, but I assume most OEM versions are not anyway. I'm concerned about the fit and finish of such kits. The auction says it uses 3M double sided tape for the install, is that typical?

I don't like how my Volvo is all stock grey plastic, so that's why I'm looking to install a kit, but if it’s a big hassle and not worth the money there are other things I want to do to the car.
