Tire Size Change C70 1999

Currently, I've got 235/45-17's on my C70, I do get some rubbing on the inside wheel wall when making sharp corners. I'd still like to go a little wider, was thinking of 245/40-17? Anybody with the stock 17 rims go to anything a little wider? Thanks!
