Another Central Locking Question 850

Hi All
For the past month, my remote has not always locked/unlocked my 97 855. Now it wont work at all. the batterys in the remote button are new, and when I checked to see if it was programed with the car, the LED on the dash flickered when I tryd the 5 turns of the ignition trick. Any clues as to where I might start to track down the problem?
