Car starts, then dies, Alarm Immobilzer -Antenna Ring or B+ Cable? S70 2000

My Volvo has succumb to the it starts, then dies out routing and I'm pretty sure it's the Immobilizer. I take the key out, put back in and it starts. It's happened about 5 or 6 times. How can I tell wether the problem is with the Antenna Ring or the B+ Cable? I'm taking it to the dealer on Thursday, but wondered if I could check this out myself.

Any thought appreciated
