Service Light Reset V70-XC70

I tried to use the standard service light reset.
Position 1, Hold trip reset
Position 2, Wait unil service light flashes (approx 10 secs) and then
release before 14 secs.

The problem is that the service light never flashes and the reset does not work. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.
