ok heres a weird one. The car has a whine when started cold, it is relation to speed. It only has the whine for like 1 minute. Then tonite when coming to a final stop with the brake and clutch down i hear a big loud whine coming from the belt area. The whine doesn't go away until i move the car again from the stopped position, this noise is NOT speed relational. The car just had pads and a brake fluid flush as well, it also had a major service at the volvo dealer, (130k) so i would have thought they would check the belts. It doesn't seem to be temperature related since there have been much colder days and it was fine.
