No heat, brrrrrrrr 850 1995

Getting cold in the Northeast, and no heat/very little heat in my 850, the seat warmers are nice for the backside....but I still can't feel my fingers....also noticed that even after 1/2 hour of driving the thermostat on the dash only crept up about 1/4 way, its cold here but not subzero (40 degrees this morning)

Has the thermostat gone bad? is this a DIY job or should I drop it at the shop?
