I'm getting some coolant usage (resevoir low level, topped up twice). I have the new green cap on the resevoir so it's not splashing out. I have 115k miles on the car and noticed some antifreeze "crust" round both ends of the upper radiator hose. Easy one to change, but if that one is the cause then the bottom hose needs changing too. Looking from the top of the engine I can't see where the entry to the engine block is. Anyone have experience and advice on changing a 850 bottom radiator hose? And is this life typical or should I be looking for a cause of premature failure?
