Heater core replacement (?) 850 1995

Definately need to replace my heater core
Nice smell windshield steam and wet feet

Haynes manual seems very doable. Is it that easy ?
Is there anything else I should do while there
Any secrets? Suggestions? Warnings??

Good source for core?? How much ??
